We exist to celebrate the men and women who wear the badge, preserve the stories that define their service, and invest in programs that keep families and neighborhoods connected to the deputies who protect them. Every initiative we fund is built to deepen trust, offer tangible support, and carry the sheriff’s legacy forward with dignity.

Our premier community event brings deputies and children together for a day of joy and mentorship. By supporting The Deputy Sheriff Legacy Foundation, you help fund these critical interactions that build lasting bonds between law enforcement and the next generation.

Before you donate

We use Zeffy so 100% of your gift comes to The Deputy Sheriff Legacy Foundation—Zeffy charges our organization no platform or processing fees.

Important: Zeffy pre-selects a tip at checkout

On the final payment step, Zeffy often defaults a tip (platform contribution) to a dollar amount that is already filled in. That tip is paid to Zeffy—not to The Deputy Sheriff Legacy Foundation. You are never required to leave it.

Before you complete payment, you must do one of the following:

Select a different tip amount from Zeffy’s list if you want to support their platform, or
Open the tip menu, choose Other, and enter $0.00 if you do not want to leave a tip.

If you skip this step, you may be charged the pre-selected tip amount even though you did not intend to leave one.

I understand that Zeffy defaults a tip on the payment step, that the tip is separate from my donation to the Foundation, and that I must either choose a different tip amount or set the tip to $0.00 (Other → $0.00) if I do not want to leave one.

Shop with the Sheriff — Beard, Hair & Nail Exemption

On the next screen, pick the amount that matches how you are participating. You will also answer a few required questions (bureau, sworn or civilian, and months if applicable).

Men (beard exemption)

Early bird $80
Select $80 on the form (early bird through November 15).
Includes facial hair exemption and a limited-edition Christmas Shopping Coin.
Standard (full participation) $100
Select $100 for standard Shop with the Sheriff beard exemption participation.
Partial year (1–4 months only) Custom
Enter your approved amount in the $ field on the form.
On the next step, list which months you are paying for when asked: “If you are only paying for a 1–4 months, please list which months.”

Women (hair tips or painted nails)

Early bird $55
Select $55 on the form (early bird through November 15).
Includes approved grooming exemption and a limited-edition Christmas Shopping Coin.
Standard (full participation) $75
Select $75 for standard participation (colored hair tips or painted nails).
Partial year (1–4 months only) Custom
Enter your approved amount in the $ field.
List which months you are paying for when that question appears on the form.

Choose One-time unless your agency instructed you to use monthly, quarterly, or yearly billing.
Complete Bureau and Civilian or Sworn? on the information step.
All proceeds support Shop with the Sheriff holiday outreach for local families and children.
